Godmother of Fashion Week Fern Mallis honored at Kent State

KENT, Ohio -- Fashion icon and industry architect Fern Mallis is headed to Northeast Ohio, where Kent State School of Fashion will induct her into its prestigious Fashion Hall of Fame. The honor recognizes her transformative impact on American fashion and her role in shaping what the world now knows as New York Fashion Week.

She will be honored at the Fashion Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony at the 2026 Fashion Hall of Fame Gala on May 2. The gala is the conclusion of the school’s Fashion Week.
