@couture.to.the.max, a renowned designer and social media personality at just 9 years old, caught Fern’s attention. Fern reached out via Instagram and has since dedicated herself to mentoring him—taking him to New York Fashion Week shows, featuring him on the Tamron Hall Show, and introducing him to celebrated designers. Together, they collaborated to design three stunning caftans—in green, pink sequin, and leopard—carefully selecting the fabrics and creating the designs themselves. Echo 100 Scarf Collaboration
Fern Mallis was invited by Echo Scarves to participate in their Echo 100 charity scarf initiative. For this project, 100 designers are creating unique scarves, each choosing a charity to benefit from the proceeds of their design.
Inspired by her Fashion Icons interview series, Fern’s scarf features illustrations by Ruben Baghdasaryan that celebrate the lives, extraordinary careers, and contributions to fashion from the past, present, and future. Coming full circle, the proceeds from this scarf will benefit the 92nd Street Y—the venue for her interview series and one of New York’s longest-standing and most influential cultural institutions.
Fern Finds
In 2012, Fern Mallis introduced FERN FINDS, a thoughtfully curated collection of jewelry, clothing, and accessories developed for QVC and HSN. Drawing inspiration from her extensive global travels and her personal archive of unique pieces, the line reflected Mallis’s lifelong passion for discovering distinctive design and exceptional craftsmanship. Each item in the collection was influenced by the cultures, artisans, and creative communities she encountered throughout her career, bringing an international sensibility to everyday style.


Sirius XM
In 2012, Mallis launched Fashion Insiders with Fern Mallis, a weekly radio program on SIRIUS XM’s STARS channel that quickly became a must-listen platform for the fashion community. The series featured candid, in-depth conversations with a wide range of industry leaders, from world-renowned designers and executives to cultural icons, stylists, editors, and emerging creative voices. Known for her insightful interviewing style and deep personal relationships within the industry, Mallis created a space where guests could share their professional journeys, creative processes, and perspectives on the evolving fashion landscape. Over the course of its three-year run, she conducted more than 400 interviews, capturing firsthand stories from some of the most influential figures in fashion and entertainment.
